It's an akward pricing.
U can get the x9 ultra which is better phone in every aspect at a lower price during 10.10, 11.11 etc with the vouchers.

That said, even the x9 ultra is not v good.
I went back to my s24 ultra after using it extensively for 3 weeks.

my experience is opposite of you, i used S25 ultra as my work phone last time, no need to compare X9 ultra, even the X8 Pro already runs circles around the S25 ultra in batt life, speed and cameras. only thing samsung wins is in software tweaking nia.

honestly, i would just wait x-mas deals or 1111 deals for x9u.



and depends if photo comes first or newer features [ better battery and mic ]

if photos are primary, x9u , if not just wait it out for xmas deals.


played with my coworkers' sammys, ahhh not really a fan of one Ui , its as messy as vivo's origin , but nothing "beats " HyperOS disaster .

but if somehow you like a normal looking phone more than the stove top, then yea,

the only few major upgrades is better chipset, algorithm for most of the shots and UIUX , etc

Battery life for sure wins.
But it's 20 cent end of day for s24u vs 40 percent for the x9ultra. Only advantage is go holiday no need being portable battery along. If U use camera extensively on x9u, it burns up batt v fast compared to s24u. Prob because lots of computation behind.

Speed? No appreciable diff for me in real life.

Camera is a mix bag la. Video s24u win for sure. Oppo camera is v messy.
So many choice. Want master mode no live motion, want 4k live motion only hi res mode. Auto mode cannot even white balance properly in more challenging scene..zzz the colour spectrum camera blow until sky high.
By itself each mode , lens is good , but it doesn't seem coherently put together.

I really think no need so complicated.

Can I complain about the freaking buttons again?
I can launch the camera with 4 diff button. Power, volume down, left side and camera button. Sure camera centric phone...but at least give me options to map the button?

If ur phone is old, like before s23u or iPhone 14 pro and before...this will be a good upgrade la but it's frustrating to say the least.

Save the money for any phones after 2024/5. Buy in late 2027 when memory prices starts to come down.

Yeh, if you dont really need to change, dont. Its a bad time and will be bad times to buy electronics stuffs next few years.

But if you need to change, and want the latest model, best time to buy oppo phones will be at launch. The x10 pm on shopee, if you buy during their live stream can be $500 off retail price. You prolly wont get this kind of discounts unless you score the biggest vouchers + the device is on sale.

i like x-pan for sure, so will get x9u eventually,


problem is how much discount towards xmas ....

200mp sure is enticing, but right now, not much on daily drivers for x10proM, which is VERY different if you're in hot and dry conditions, aka thailand hot season, how much it stalls
