anyone know how to change the following settings?

1) let's say im on photos, then someone whatsapp me, i open whatsapp, it only open as smaller size instead of full size, how do i change settings that when i open the whatsapp, it will be full screen instead?

2) for pixel, after i open an app from the home screen folder and exit, it will be on the home screen immediately.
however for oppo, after i open an app from home screen folder, when i exit the app, it will just go back to folder instead. how do i change to the pixel type settings?

Cause: ColorOS has a feature called Flexible windows. A flexible window is a small floating window that sits on top of the app you’re using. If you swipe down on a WhatsApp notification, or tap a chat bubble, WhatsApp opens in that small window.


Fix it now: tap the expand icon at the top of the small window. WhatsApp then goes full screen.


Stop it for good:

1. Open Settings.
2. Go to Special features (on some versions: Accessibility & convenience).
3. Tap Flexible windows.
4. Turn off “Swipe down on notification to open floating window”.
5. Also check Settings > Notifications > Bubbles and turn bubbles off for WhatsApp.

After this, tapping a WhatsApp notification opens the full app, like on a Pixel.


Menu names change between ColorOS versions. If you don’t see these, search “flexible” in the Settings search bar.

thanks, it was name as floating window. there's no option for Swipe down on notification to open floating window. but i just turn everything off thanks.

ColorOS (and closely related systems like OxygenOS) is designed so that exiting an app launched from a home screen folder automatically drops you back into that folder. There is currently no built-in toggle or setting in ColorOS to change this system-launcher behavior.

hmm ? i dont quite get the 2nd problem.

ive folders on tyhe home screen, whatsapp e.g open it , swipe up goes back to to home no ? default oppo launcher, no 3rd party stuff
