Confirmed that Google apps and WhatsApp etc don't show up on AOD
I don’t use AOD nor WhatsApp on it so I can’t comment.

One thing though, using the camera for extensive period really eat the battery (I use it more like a camera)

There seemed to be a lot of newer folks to China OS here.

Here are the general traits and thing to manage your own expectations here for China OS:
Lets start with the bad news
Cons:
1)
some app might not work
(like samsung's watch 5 (wearable) is geo locked and doesn't allow connection to xiaomi 12S ultra and Oppo Find X6 p
or Android Auto
although this has been improving, totally no issue with Google pay & google wallet or Singpass or Okta)
(also improving drastically coming from 2020 to 2023)

2)you probably need some tweaking on the NFC settings
(also improving drastically coming from 2020 to 2023)

3)too aggressive default battery management which lead to delayed notifications
(golden rule to overcome is to trial and error with the following settings:
-lock app on multi app interface
-auto launch settings
-battery management settings
-run in background settings
)
(also improving drastically coming from 2020 to 2023. Xiaomi 10 ultra was frustrating on this aspect, no longer for 12s Ultra )

4) Chinese characters coming up (with english set as primary) every now and then when you are playing with settings
(this one is bo bian but you can live with it I am sure)

5) Warranty in China
It is imported, what do you expect?
This differs from case to case purchase since some importers offer store warranty but there's much inconvenience for sure.
Pray that we dont get a lemon set.
(However, China QC is top notch for big brands like Oppo or Vivo or Xiaomi by today, I have yet to come across any defects from imports in the past 3 years *touch woodX10*hahaha)

6)Likely to be locked out of the China brand login account and echo system (to a good extend)
Unless you have a China SIM/Line
Another bobian

then... Good news!
Pros:

1)
Fastest OS update (its 9-9-5 grade XD)
This has always been a strong point for China OSs.
The updates and upgrades are mostly fast and furious

2)You are not dead set forced to be locked onto the Google infra

3)You arguably get access to some interesting China apps
(a good portion may be geo locked though)

My quick review after using for 1 week +:

Hardware outlook:
-why oh why did you abandon your definitive design outlook?
-the 1 rounded circle is cool but I wished they continued and evolve with the x3 & 5's design language
-i like the silver metal and orange/brown leather 2 tone

Colour OS/ Fluidity:
-Oppo's China OS aka Colour OS
is a little inferior compared to Vivo X90p+'s funtouch or Sammy or Fruity.
It is just not that smoooth, not drastically but just a wee bit

-Battery:
(My usage style: I do not game; no AOD; all settings on; lots of msg (whatsapp, telegram, wechat, line), lots of email from workl; lots of chrome and google surfing; some sportify streaming; some youtube and tiktok streaming; some image capturing) *I haveyet to go on a photography outing at this point.
Screen on can last me 5.5hrs ish from 95%->15%
It is above average.
AndFX6p can charge up really fast!

-Imaging:
(IMO I love it!)
(For a start. I consider Vivo X90p+ to be the king of still imaging prior to X6p, i14p continues to be the video king)
I was a little torn between FX6p VSVivo x90 pro+ (which I got on Dec2022). Both are pretty good. IMO, Vivo feels more polished on overall software & usage, HDR logic is a bit better, more fun photography options (like the moon shoot mode).
Oppo has better mid zoom (their 3X is that good!) and ultra wide lens, proXDR is really nice (but that effect is not share-able and can only be seen on FX6p itself, hahaha, kind of dumb right),
The true to camera feel is better.
Main lens are both on par and boils down to user preference on color tone.

From reviews,I find that FX6pgetting quite the extreme outcome on the imaging side of things:
either people
-complain that for the price, it is not technical enough (is that, not that sharp or not that thorough in HDR(Vivo is the HDR king imo))
or
-full of praises on the well flavored and true to camera contrast and settings
I seconded the above 2 opinions.

The Pixel gang whose all about technicality will bashed the phone (pixel 6 pro was so so so bad with the over processing while p7p toned that down to a more acceptable range and yes, there are folks who love that monstrous overprocessing...) while
Photographers that dwells with camera (who are more about colour and shot DNA) are praising FX6p.

*there is still a minor flaw waiting to be even out on the OS though, the human subject enhancement of X6p can erratically come about on some occasions even when we set it off (in comparison, Vivo X70p+ was like that but X90p+ has did away with that flaw)

Specific to oppo, I owned X2p, X3p, X5p and now X6p so I can comment about their growth:

-X2p is so so normal-ish, just another flagship with no defining DNAl imo
-X3p has that definitive curve outlook (which I love!) but the imaging is still lacking
-X5p continue the hardware design language which is awesome! The imaging technicality is a little weaker vs fellow flagships but it is showing its imaging DNA . Zoom is so weak...) X5p is worthy!
-X6p freaking killed their definitive outlook -.-"" Imaging technicality had some awesome improvements!
1 inch sensor + really good 3X zoom and ultra wide. While the imaging OS continues to mature on the technicality side, the imaging DNA is getting pretty solid (play around with auto (w hassleblad filters) and pro mode)
Tips:
-play with auto and pro mode
-For pro mode, you dont need to tweak
-just go pro and shoot (with the default auto settings)
-this is the true to camera mode

-Video wise

Flagship grade competing with sammy and vivo but cant win Apple.
1 complain is that the selfie video is only 1080 and not 4k =(
(I dont video that much so not much to feedback XD)

Good news... watch5 pro can be use in China phone..
I managed to make my (china phone) Realme GT Neo 5 pair successfully with Samsung Watch5 Pro.

1)install china wear os (find from apk website)
2) install samsung health from playstore.
3) install Galaxy wear from realme app market.
4) install watch5 plugging from playstore.

Then login to samsung health. From setting, go to accessories, then find warch5 Pro.
Then when phone is restart. Pair it.

I realised that since the latest update, whenever I shoot in RAW+ and send the dng file to other devices, it tends to be corrupted.

Similar incident happened for my X3 Pro last year, but was fixed on the software side there after.
