Oppo Find X6 Series

My x6 pro is still on the way.
But I am using Realme GT Neo 5 (which is also a china rom and the UI is very similar to Oppo X6 color os).

So based on my current experience, here is my answer.

AOD notification only work on china apps. Whatapps, telegram, Gmail,etc notification does not get display in AOD.
Tink this a china ROM thing.

Perhaps, existing Oppo X6 users can address?

okay I get it that AOD won't work with the notifications for non-China apps. but will the normal notifications (non-AOD) work when the phone is on? like incoming google mails, bank OTP notifications, etc?

Battery isn't as good as redmagic 8 pro ,but at least Google pay and singpass can be used

Yes normal notification works. Somehow just not telegram for me. It's always delayed. Anyone facing the same issue?

thanks a lot. I think I'll get this phone after all. aiming for 6.6 sales. was waiting to see the other new releases and most are not to my liking (like weight or camera), or just too darn expensive (e.g. xperia 1V nearing $2k).

I don't use telegram but no reason why it shouldn't work. have you tried reinstalling the app, or looking at the permission settings?

I read online that it's impossible to erase traces of Chinese wordings for some of the phone features despite having the language settings changed to English. hopefully you guys can share more tips on how to root the device and uninstall all the bloatware and Chinese stuff.

for huawei easy as i just need use knuckle cut out the part i need to screen capture

use ADB to remove

u can see xda forum on find x bloatware list

I feel like I'll be using the phone 'naked'. don't think will be using it for more than 2 years... my goal is to aim for a foldable phone after x6pro when the camera systems (of the foldables) become comparable to the standard slate style phones.

also want to try to showcase the true beauty of the phone... instead of hiding it behind plastics heh.
