The OPPO Find X8 and OPPO Find X8 Pro launched quite recently. The OPPO Find X8 Ultra was not among them, but its camera details did just surface. Before we get down to it, let’s first explain what’s going on with the ‘Ultra’.

This year, OPPO decided to launch the OPPO Find X7 and Find X7 Ultra in January. The OPPO Find X8 series was expected in January next year, but the company changed its plans. It launched the OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro in October, but not the ‘Ultra’ model.

So, what’s going on? Well, based on the latest report, the OPPO Find X8 Ultra will arrive in early 2025, along with the OPPO Find N5 (aka OnePlus Open 2) foldable. We’re not sure if that will actually be the case, but that’s what we know thus far.

The OPPO Find X8 Ultra camera details have appeared early

In any case, the OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro do have rather powerful camera setups. The OPPO Find X8 Ultra will take that to the next level, however. It has the ‘Ultra’ moniker for a reason after all.

The camera details come from Digital Chat Station, one of the best-known tipsters out there. He claims that the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC will fuel the phone, as expected. The other two phones use the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor.

According to the tipster, the phone will utilize a quad-camera setup, just like its predecessor. It will have four 50-megapixel cameras. The main camera will use a 1-inch camera sensor. That was the case last year too. In fact, OPPO could end up using the same sensor, the Sony LYT-900. We’ll see.

The phone will utilize two periscope telephoto cameras, as did its predecessor

A 50-megapixel ultrawide camera will also be included, along with two 50-megapixel periscope telephoto cameras. One will offer 3x optical zoom, while the other will offer 6x optical zoom.

Previous rumors claimed that the phone will use a 6,000mAh battery, and support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. OPPO’s new magnetic charging will be a part of the offering.

Received mine 16/512 last night together with enco x3 (I reside in Chengdu). Another smooth AF phone (am also holding vivo x200 pro). Compared to vivo x200 pro, find x8 pro:
- feels nicer to hold
- has a brighter display
- camera wise (each has it's own style both are relatively good)
- live photos (oppo one is better)
- office suite connectivity for mac (vivo is better)
- fingerprint sensor (vivo one is higher due to diff hardware)
- oppo font is nicer too look at
- battery wise haven't really tested but either on par or vivo may perform slightly better

Not very sure because I not going back SG anytime soon but past experience is mostly can use just how you set nia. Like China set, you just need to turn on Google Basic Management under Settings. Then go to APKMirror download Google Play Store apk variant.

All China brand phones don't include Google apps in their China ROMs since Google is banned, but it is included for their International ROMs.

Google Basic Management is to activate Google Services for the OS.

And yes, you can still use FB, X, Grab, Singpass and Banking apps. No different from a normal Android phone.

If it is of a little concern and possibly a hassle, maybe you want to wait for the international version launch, possibly Q1 2025. That version of ColorOS should have Google apps included.

Their phone actually not that bad, just that Singaporean are usually towards more atas brand with iPhone, Samsung Galaxy and Pixel.

Sadly for SG market, China phone usually not much resell value despite you paying close to Apple or Samsung price.

Can't wait for this. Have their X3, X6 Pro and Find N3 series and their phones are not bad, in terms of daily use and photography.
