Wah I realised something very weird.

no matter if you take 50 or 200MP JPG or RAW(DNG), as long as you edit through the default photo editor, it will simply downscale to 12MP.

looks like it’s back to Lightroom editing for photos for now.

Just got from Litemobile.Telco sealed set. Warranty activated 3days ago. $1198. No free gifts.
Just a bit confused. If its sealed how is it activated 3 days ago?

i still remember one bro mentioned that he saw the shop person was using a special machine to seal the boxes to appear as brand new sealed item when he went to sell his phone..

Probably activated by Telco. But doesn't matter since the seller already mentioned it's Telco sets. So it's not cheating customers.

No, I just wanted to know whether is there a way to activate without physically switching the device on. If no, then why the shops wanted to reseal it and say it's brand new sealed.

This is the confusion and I couldn't understand the rationale behind it

Telco side might be able to do that. Not sure about this. But even so, most shops will still reseal back Telco sets as I guess no one wants to receive your new phone via delivery and see it's an opened set. It will create unnecessary disputes. The only thing is whether the shop got upfront tell you that's a Telco or not. Anyway, it shouldn't be an issue in most cases as shop typically only take in Telco shops with purchase dates no longer than 3 days. So by the time you buy, probably the warranty at most started 1 month plus to 2 months.

I heard it's just another case & 5000mah power bank. Not useful since the HP batt is 7500mah.
I do use on a few occasions usually during work since I can just slap it on my phone while working. Otherwise I have another dedicated powerbank if I ever need to be out all day

not sure about other brands, but now the seals are one off unseal pull tabs where its obvious its a unsealed set. Re-shrink wrapping is different from (at least from what i know) Oppo's current seals. I.E shrink wrap nowadays doesn't mean brand new sealed+unused nowadays

Same as me. I guess it is a resealed set. No way I'm buying such sets. Don't feel comfortable with it

Anything that is BNIB sealed will be easier to sell off. This proved that no one touch the phone yet. Scratches may occured if anyone touch the phone even just to check it. Its a human nature thing.

Alot of telco set are unseal set as u are allowed to open up to check the condition. Not sure abt now but last time they do allow.

I dont think telco able to activate the warranty. It will only be activated when connected to a network, meaning u need insert sim card. The warranty likely is activated when the buyer is checking the phone condition and they insert sim to check as well.

In fact if you get Telco sets at the Telcos itself, you have to open up the set. They don't allow you not to open.
