Personally, siding with 13R or Honor 400 since to me, Reno series always has been priced at a wierd bracket with nothing special to show for.

What is their current phone as well as their typical day to day usage?

impetus for me to upgrade their phone is cos we are travelling to Japan in dec and I'd like them to have a phone with eSim and a camera that is not a potato

At this price point of 500-600 (after existing discounts on online platform), all 3 camera should be pretty decent and support eSIM.

I can't say much since i am still using an older Oppo phone, but probably in the end, it will boil down to how much are you willing to spend. Maybe just wait till 7/7 for more discounts since there is still time, which provides you more time to just head down and try the handsets physically before making the decision to buy.

Honor also just moved service center to Plaza Sing, making servicing more accessible than their previous location at Ruby Land Complex and both Reno 14 and OP13R can be serviced at Novena Square (Oppo service center)

with current shopee platform voucher, reno 14 price will be 67x, i do feel it is on the higher side, still not quite attractive.

perhaps have to consider yr parents need and priorities, for eg, if camera, probably reno 14, if performance, probably 13R.

i bought the honor 400 for my mum, not a bad phone too for general usage. compact and light weight too...

14F can get from MY. It comes in 3 variants, from RM 1399, 1599 (RM 1499 between 13Jul to 11Aug) & 1799.
