Ops Manning without FBO

Hi I receive my first ops manning call after 7 years of ord.

The thing is my duffel bag including my FBO was stolen last year. I lodged a report to the security but they could not find who stole it.

Is it ok to report in civilian if I get called back?

U mentioned security. I assume the stuff was stolen in camp?

Anyway, it's better to notify your unit so that they can decide whether to allow u to report in uniform minus the FBO, or to procure the FBO items to replace them.

you most probably have to buy your uniform, boots, field pack, etc using your own money.

FBO depends on your unit...

I see... anyway, u will have to replace your items. Some can be bought with SAF credits, but for those that cannot, they will have to be bought with money.

But my hair kind of long... not sure wait the RP stop me from going into the camp.... so even if I wear the old SAF uniform also ok right? As they never issue me with the new version...

haircut isn't really a problem most of the time when you report for mob briefing.

depending on which formation/division you're from, you may be allowed to wear civilian clothing for mob briefing. you might want to check with your mob clerk in charge.

as for the old SAF uniform, you can wear it for mob briefing, but by right, it's illegal to wear the old uniform now. you should be able to do a 1-for-1 exchange at the emart for the new uniform. wearing the old uniform in the event of activation is a big nono.

as for lost items, you will be required to purchase them using your own credits from the emart according to the packing list provided. but for controlled items that cannot be gotten from emart, you can inform the QM or RQMS during your ICT, or if it's too late, during the activation itself. so they can provide you with the items, or if they do not have any, they can indent the items for you for collection in future.

Thanks Bro, really doesn't know that wearing old uniform is consider illegal. But no choice as I was outstation for the past years and hear from my friends, SAF are suppose to issue letter for us to do kit exchange. Don't think I will use credit to buy the items as think the credit will not be enough to cover all the cost and I will not want to spend my own hard earned money on all these stuffs. If they want to charge me for all these nonsense, don't blame me for writing to newspaper to complain of their incompetence of not issuing new uniforms and equipment to me... hehehe
ps: for your info, even my helmet, sbo, etc is all old version.... really retro.... Maybe if kena caught, can declare myself as NCC?

Yep, seen them at YCK MRT station all the time.

Very obvious they are NCC - hair too long, uniform too big, and rank waaaaay too high.
