When you say print out, are you referring to a screenshot of the notification?

Yes. and subsequently after a few days from the activation, u can obtain your attendance via the portal and show your employer as your proof of attendance to the activation, if required (for your information).

nevertheless, activation is obviously on the actual day itself. I am very interested to find out why wasn't these information being made know to u in the first place. Or to even understand the system in the first place. How long have u since ORD?

you will have an Area IC for your mobilization, so it may be better to check with him. If he's on enough he would have created an informal whatsapp group, where you can pose the questions there.

Timing no need scared, if u not there ppl will call u until u reach usually morning the 1st batch of ppl will kena call already which ish 8am, for adv party.. which is M-2 i think

then depending on the requirement it should be either M+2 or M+4 (12 pm or 2pm), note that M can be any time, but for my unit M is usually 10am

just need to be prepared to climb lots of stairs daily for exercises...

cookhouse food not bad, if u not picky about food...

there is a aircon canteen... but prepare to walk and climb more stairs ... and your uniforms will be stinky with the food smell after awhile

The Island Defence Training Institute will train up to 18,000 active soldiers and national servicemen (NSmen) every year in homeland security. A further 15,000 personnel every year will undergo training for other island defence roles, said the Defence Ministry.

The training institute is made up of four sub-units. Two of them, located at Clementi Camp, focus on training soldiers to protect key targets in Singapore as well as conduct joint patrols.

The institute comprises two centres and two schools. The Homeland Security Training Centre (HSTC) and Island Defence Training Centre (IDTC) will be responsible for training and developing SAF units in the protection of military and civilian key installations and conduct of joint deterrence patrols; while the Security and Policing Leadership School (SPLS) and the Security and Policing Vocational School (SVPS) will focus on military security and policing duties. With the establishment of the IDTI, island defence and homeland security training can be centralised, resulting in synergy through the consolidation of training and resources.
