ORD 1 week after Poly Course starts

Title says it all. I was given a place in RP prior to enlistment but I told them to reserve it for me until I finish NS. Now when I’m about to finish NS, the academic calender shows the term starts one week before I ORD. Can anyone guide me?

Am I able to miss one week of lessons if my unit doesn’t allow me to use leaves on the last week of ORD?

Have you spoke to RP about this? I think it's best you give them a call first and ask them for assistance.

think u can have a word out with your unit since course acceptance letter + time table + RP is one of the local IHLs would have given validity for you to work out something with unit OC or in charge bah

apply disruption and then come back to clear your balance 1 week of NS during school vacation?

2 options:

clear leave to cover the last week- try to talk to your superiors in advance about this

another option, which i have seen some people go through before, is they disrupt, after studies, go back and serve 1 week


if for some reason both of these dont work out, then just tell your poly in advance you will be missing 1 week lesson because of NS... dont think they will kick you out. since a lot poly students arent exactly stellar candidates to begin with, im sure many are absent for more than 1 week throughout their course anyway.

i think what the person meant was to take/Keng mc for that 1 week from NS to go school supposedly

but technically speaking u r suppose to be resting at home while on mc
if kena baotoh by NS camp mates; end up get charged

at least that i have seen a few yrs back when one NSF in my previous office who supposedly was on MC one week kena photograph doing gym workout outside..gg kena charged

I think it is better for you to talk with your superior whether it is OK to take leave/off to attend lessons?

By right if you have not taken much annual leave, you should have enough ORD leave to clear in order to attend lessons in your last week in service.

During my days, we can even bring over the unused annual leave from the previous year and we tend to have 1 months+ of ORD leave (but need to come back half day or a full day in-between as taking more than 14 days consecutively will include weekends) prior to ORD but now no more.

The problem now is that RP is so stern about the idea of disruption and does not entertain any other ideas for me to attend that one week of lessons. I keep telling them I am able to apply leave to attend school but they keep replying back to me that I’m only allowed to apply disruption to commence my studies at RP.

Hi Janson, whatever the case, your OC will have the capacity to allow you to go on leave to attend sch. If he doesn't report him according to the chain of command.
Don't fret too much. Should be able to get the leave to attend your school
