I don't see the point of "proof" for every statement made.
Unless it contradicts what u know and you're sure of the absolute truth.

I'm sure you wouldn't want a character that keeps questioning your statements even when its down to logic/basic knowledge.
Not necessary to have "proof" for every statement as long as the statement is not definite and assumed to be same for all.

reddevil, to make yourself sound not so dumb. Sorry to be rude but I find you beating around the bush repeatedly.

As I said, I am not asking you to agree with what I said, nor did I said that my above comments are exactly what SAF is practicing it. I am just stating what I know and make an absolutely logical inference based on what I encountered.

I shared based on my experience and I did not say that was official, so I clearly do not have to show any proof for you.

If you CLEARLY KNOW what is the rank promotion for NSFs who have had been to DB, PLEASE KINDLY SHARE IT WITH US since you sounded you like you know better then me or have encountered such scenarios before.

Otherwise, stop beating around the bush and answer the question that YOU DO REALLY KNOW SOMETHING. If not I will appreciate that you keep your comments to yourself, because you sounded more and more like you are just here to POST FOR THE SAKE OF POSTING.

I clearly don't need someone who knows lesser then me to correct me in any case.

Hey hey hey, please refer to my above post hor...Please don't quote it out of context.

I DIDNT SAID my statement was definite nor did I specifically inculcated that it was the same for all.

As I have mentioned, you don't have to be an hypocrite by saying "maybe your experience is restricted".

Even if my experience is restricted, it should not come out from a person WHO CLEARLY KNEW LESSER THEN ME.

It really shows your character, and that is by discrediting others so that you can gain some credentials from what others have shared. In Chinese I call this 自以为是. If you really do know something, share it, otherwise I will appreciate that your just keep mum and don't comment on other people's sharing unless you are better off then me.

dude i never said i "CLEARLY KNOW" please point out to me where I said that. I am just saying your "experience on the recommendation part" maybe restricted and I said later on it is not necessary the case for "EVERYBODY". I also don't have to show you any proof right? As long as there's just one case that is not similar to yours, I believe it's perfectly justifiable for me to say your experience is not true for everybody???

Don't be too full of yourself please. I think it's a pretty sad thing when you start trying to make people look dumb when it shows a lot about yourself. :s13:

Hypocrite???? Somehow I feel you very affected by that sentence leh. Like I clarified above

"I am just saying your "experience on the recommendation part" maybe restricted and I said later on it is not necessary the case for "EVERYBODY". I also don't have to show you any proof right? How do you actually prove that I know lesser than you leh. You very big egos leh. Did I just burst it?

you do know its much easier to just ignore him....

dun feed the troll as they say it..

anyway, all i know on this topic is that those who fail bmt and still combat fit are actually asked to go back to tekong for recourse bmt counting as HK for NSmen. the rest are thrown to unit to be used as they deemed fit but not much as they are usually not field deployable as not weapon trained or low pes status.

rec, pte....whats the difference?

Hey, thanks for that advice, I have already put him to ignore list

Anyway, from what I understand, SAF does not want to commit any resources for reservist to go back to BMT as BMT is considered a long process (9 weeks for enhanced BMT).

Anyway rec or pte no difference. Just that rec on name does not looks nice and many people will assume something must have happened.

there are reservist bmt but its 3 weeks long not 9 weeks and stay-in. it basically teach you what an infantry soldier needs to know to perform his basic duty. after that you join 2pdf. from 2pdf you will learn other advanced infantry skills like defence, attack etc.

If you are on this forum long enough, you will realise that some people tend to post for the sake of posting and their posts do not answer the questions asked.

Best is to add them to your ignore list. Why bother wasting your time even coming up with a retort? :s13:

And for the benefit of those of us who have added trolls to our ignore list, please do not quote their posts when you reply. Because when you do so, we can see their posts which we do not wish to.

From what i have heard, this scenario does happen.

Usually if one OOC from BMT, and not PES E, he should be holding the recruit rank until he completed BMT.

Then again, there are also stories that we can up rank by time frame.

Can check with your superior, and if im not wrong pers node of your unit.

By 3 weeks I suppose it's not the full BMT recourse? Just the basic and important portion from BMT are extracted to train NSmen recourse.

it is the BMT recourse for NSmen just they try to fit it into 3 weeks. 1 justification is you do not need as much time to assimilate as you already have some prior expectations and experience.

for nsmen, 3 weeks very siong already, cannot longer la.

anyway, having this beats leaving these bunch of people in limbo right?

After attending the 3 weeks, can they possibly be posted out to another vocations other then infantry?

If not the recourse is quite limited.

Army to me is limbo to begin with. These people makes up a small minority. Recourse or not difference not big at all.

Anyway some who ORD as REC. didn't receive any reservist letter ever after.

from what I noticed, usually these people are already posted to a NS unit and then sent for the recourse, my assumption is they will be following the NS unit moving forward.

not everyone want to be in limbo, especially if it means they have to take ippt until age 40. you will be surprised at the number of people who call in and asked to be called up.
