Did anyone order bare HDDs from Amazon? I read horror stories on how Amazon package the HDDs in thin envelope or put the HDDs loosely in a box last time.

Even now, I still read random stories of poor packaging even now. So anybody can share their experiences of receiving bare hdd from Amazon in Singapore?

Wanted to order HDDs from Amazon but afraid due to reading stories of too many DOA HDDs or HDDs quickly developing bad sectors after a while.

Hmm.. bare HDDs in Amazon is cheaper! Thinking of hooting a few.

Casing can hoot if cheaper since there is no electronic or mechanical moving part. Seldom casing can get spoilt unless you are talking about those usb port connection.

Anybody can share their experiences? I am sure there are some who have hoot bare HDDs from Amazon

No warranty for hard drive is not worth the savings, simple as that.
