Ordering from Amazon/Rakuten

Although there are several delivery options, I am interested to know more on scheduled delivery, especially for airbnb. Has anyone experienced this? Are they punctual? I won't have a local number.

Tried konbini but some merchants dont ship there for some reason.

I ordered some stuff from Amazon Japan. Going to Tokyo tomorrow. I requested them to deliver to the convenience store nearest to my airbnb apartment. It's already shipped there. I guess I'll collect them on Saturday. Probably safer to deliver to their convenience stores?

I tried that option but none of the items are accepted at the convenience stores nearby. Basically they are shoes and a jacket. For some reason the merchants don't deliver there.

for scheduled delivery time, the delivery company will do their best to deliver in your selected time slot or they will call you before the timing to arrange another time. i am not sure though if they cant call you...
