Orico hdd dock 6218us3

Hi all,

May I check if anyone is familiar with mentioned dock or orico dock?

I noted the dock is not recognized for my PC, the blue led light kept blinking and win 10 does not show any new usb device at all.

yup.. the dock need and have the power plug.

I just purchase the 6218us3 and no problem detect on win10.No driver need to be install.Hv you try another usb port?Did you turn on the power switch behine the dock?

Tried other usb port and another PC, all cannot. Yup switch on, can only see blinking blue led light on the dock and PC dun seems to have any reaction...

I am using 6629 (dual dock) and it works well. My PC can detect the 2 HDD I put inside the dock.

Btw, there is a switch for pc or clone on my oricon dock. Need to set it to PC.

Mine dun have such functionality.

In that case must probably the dock is faulty.

Maybe, just a question. if anyone aware is such usb3.0 backward compatible? My PC usb is 1.0 or 2.0 only. Dunno is it due to that??

The dock is backward compatible so not the problem.The only difference is speed.

Actually I saw alot of bad reviews for oricon docks (Amazon). So its likely you got a lemon.
