For the friends who attended the lessons,
hope you do practise more k.

I am most glad to be the one to help you 'form' your first rose.
In the later part, you will be teaching your friends how to 'form' their first roses.
Have patience, and have heart..

I can fold a paper crane in 2 mins 30 seconds.

I can form a scar-free Kawasaki rose head in 12 minutes.

But to form a rose (at this level) takes about 35 minutes.

The basic 12 lines is still the foundation.
12 x 4 sides = 48 lines. Followed by:
Floating, Forming, Keeping, Sculpturing, Insert central petals etc.

Hope everyone can try to form a Kawasaki rose,
to delight and surprise their special someone.

Good online videos

Anyone interested can try these videos -
They are very good.

Still want more tips?

1. Use A4 size squared paper - it is the best size ever.

2. Paper clips - When you have trouble with 'forming' the rose, use paper clips to control the 4 corners. You will know what I mean when u are more than halfway through.

3. Folding habits - Just like ironing a shirt, learn to 'iron' every fold with a very small ruler. The linings will be very crisp and neat. In fact when I teach, its a Must for all my students to iron every fold.

Thats it! Wish everyone good luck!! =)

============================

Learn this skill while you are young,
so you can be in time,
to surprise that special someone -
in the future.

Video

I really want to have instructions, it would be great! I've been doing origami for years, and haven't seen any different roses than this one, and I would live to figure out how.

Don't give up.

Little inspiration , many actions (practises).

"It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop. "

Dedicate this to all people making Kawasaki or Gift-of-gifts rose.

~ Just don't stop, and you will be successful oneday.

Hope everyone likes this picture. My favourite ..
