64bit versions have another folder to run 32 bit programs

32 bit may not be able to fully utilize 4GB and above
so best it's to get 64 bit.
Most 32 bit programs can run on 64 bit windows without
any problems.

U dun need to do anything, if ur program dun support 64 bit, it will automatically be installed in 32 bit, in the program files (x86) folder.
