i got an weird update listing in my app store.
there was a iPhoto updated dated Mar 20, 2015, wasn't it supposed to be dead?
in the meanwhile i am still refreshing the app store for el capitan
edit: opps, i forget it is a download from the app store instead of a update.
in the meanwhile update iOS to 9.0.2

Thanks for the heads up bro! I also thought it was an updated instead of download till i saw your reply

do remember to extract a copy of the installer before upgrading in case you need to do a clean install later.
how do i go about doing that?
really? what other significant changes from a user perspective? I'm still contemplating if to update. Downloaded already haven't install.. Haha..so much faster than Yosemite

New features (weather, stock, videos) in Spotlight aren't working.
Have done a "Reinstall OS X from Recovery" as advised by Apple Tech Support, same same.
Lodged a case, waiting for the solution.

so what is the problem?I had asked the Tech, is it Location-specific? He said No.
Have look up Apple forum, there are quite a few users having the same problem.
