some possible areas:
namba - lots of shopping and eateries in the area, and well connected to kansai airport


umeda - lots of shopping and eateries in the area, well connected to places within Osaka, as well as to Kyoto, kobe and nara. good connection to kansai airport as well.


shinimamiya - well connected to airport, very cheap accommodations. however, the area is more rundown, with many homeless and drunks at night

If you taking the Nankai train....preferable to stay around the Namba area...if its JR train..you can consider staying in places near Osaka or Tennoji station which is along the JR loop line
