Osaka to Hakone Shrine

I need some advice on how to get from Osaka to Hakone Shrine? Would like to do a day trip as my hotels are all booked at Osaka yet would wish to visit the Shrine. Thanks in advance!

Hakone or Hikone? Hakone is way too far for a day trip from Osaka, about 4 hours one way travel. There are many more shrines and temples in the Kansai area to visit than all the way to Hakone. And there’s much more to see in Hakone than just the shrine.

want to see a torii on the water?

the most famous is the itsukushima shrine in hiroshima

hakone shrine is very famous too but in kansai itself you can go to the shirahige shrine in biwako, just about 1hr+ from osaka. on a blue sky day, the view can be amazing.

the o-torii at miyajima is under renovation. no confirmed date on the reopening yet if i remember.
