Will be travelling to OSAKA for 5 days in Nov 2022

Any train Pass for tourists that can cover most of the rides below?

- Kansai International Airport to Namba Station
- Train ride within OSAKA
- OSKA to kyoto (return)
- Namba Station to Kansai International Airport

Appreciate any help

Thanks in advance!

i m considering the ICOCA + Haruka Express combo

but for the Haruka Airport express, it depends if your Osaka hotel is near a Haruka Express station

from my quick research, does not seem that a "Travel Pass" is worth it for the above

caveat: i m also first time to Osaka and will be using public transport ... usually I self drive, dont have much experience with public transport :censored:

Plenty of different passes. Do your research.

Kyoto and Osaka are huge. Different train lines go to different parts of Kyoto. Look at where you want to go in Kyoto and get the relevant passes.

Kintetsu, Keihan, Nankai, Hanshin, JR and metro. They all have different passes for different itineraries/destinations.

For Kansai Airport, there's the Nankai Line Airport Express Train.

4 day JR west kansai
Osaka Amazing
Kansai Thru pass.....

If you are lazy to itemise your itinerary and get the estimated final fare and compare with each special pass, ICOCA is your best shot.

KIX > Namba

Just use the Nankai-Kuko Line ¥930, Nankai-Limited Express probably faster by 5-10 mins but ¥1450 not really worth the $5 more for that few mins.

Osaka Amazing Pass - check to see the places you wanna cover in a day or 2 is better value than the pass price anot

1 day JR Kansai Area Pass if visiting Himeji Castle as a day trip.

I already have a ICOCA card and looking to buy a "HARUKA Discount ticket" from JR West Reservation site, costing JPY 1200.

Can such "discount tickets" be issued at the Ticketing Machine ?

Or I have to go to the JR West Office at Kansai to get the ticket ?

I know if getting the ICOCA+Haruka set, have to go Office to get. A bit confused with the info provided by JR West on how to "receive" discount tickets.

u need to present your ICOCA, passport & reservation information

* Neither ICOCA cards nor HARUKA discount tickets can be received from ticket vending machines. Visit a JR Ticket Office to receive your card/ticket.
