Planning a family trip to osaka for Dec . Never been to Osaka trip for holiday.
Went to Shinjuku and stayed at SunRoute@Shinjuku.

Want to find a similar type of hotels where the limousine bus or train reach near the hotel from KIX. Any similar one in Osaka area?

I stayed at Hotel New Hankyu, which is next to Osaka station. There is a direct shuttle bus from KIX to the hotel (just happens that the end stop is right under the hotel). Granvia is also fairly nearby.

Didn't take train (Haruku express) so can't really advise.

Great, will check out Hankyu and Granvia.

Anyone stay at sunroute Umeda before?

Only SQ is direct Ex-SIN. 3K still have a 1 hour stopover at TPE for refueling.
Jetstar dun hv?

My departure flight from Sg to Osaka got stop over in Manila, but reason becos the original flight canceled due to engine problem (direct).

Return flight is direct.

The Jetstar booking page indicates 1 stopover in either direction though. So does Jetstar have any stopovers? I rather fly in a bigger plane for mid haul distances hehe..

We plan to fly into OSAKA KIX and fly out from Tokyo Narita. Can that be done? e.g. In-osaka by SQ/Jetstar. Out-Narita by Scoot

Our itinerary for Dec Trip.
Day 1 Arrival Osaka. Staying around Namba and Umeda area.
Day 2 Universal studio, Osaka aquarium, Osaka Castle
Day 3 Nara
Day 4 Kyoto
Day 5 Shop around Nama and Umeda area
Day 6 Proceed to Shinjuku (?? How to get to tokyo/Shinkuku from Osaka,
what choice?
):s11:
Day 7 Land tour 3D/2N Takayama Shirakawago,
Arrive at Okuhida Hirayu Onsen at 1330.
Day 8 Set off to Takayama by local city bus, Visit Takayama Shirakawago,
Roam around Takayama Town at Night.
Day 9 Free at Leisure to stroll the morning Market,
Depart by Highway bus back to Tokyo. Arrive Shinjuku around 2030
Day 10 Shinjuku/ Ikebukuro (shopping)
Day 11 Shinjuku/ Back to SG from Tokyo Narita

The usual choices like Shinkansen, coach or air. For in Osaka out Tokyo, you just buy their respective one way will do.

Day 2 Universal studio, Osaka aquarium, Osaka Castle
Universal Studio and Osaka can be done together since they're very near (plus taking the Captain Line quite fun)

but Osaka Castle... is kinda like at the other end of Osaka leh~ :s22:

1. yes, Just buy one way ticket~ Or much easier, use SQ multi city itinerary. (Fly into KIX, Fly out Haneda instead of Narita, Haneda is in Tokyo while Narita is in Chiba).

2. Day 2 is very rush, i thought theme park should be a full day event? Unless you are doing universal in half day? Do note Dec maybe night time is earlier~

3. Nara in one day is okay

4. Kyoto is one day is very rush to even cover the main three attractions.

5. Shinkansen is easier to go from Osaka (Shin-Osaka) to Tokyo Station. From Tokyo Station to Shinjuku you can take local train. Do note Shinkansen is expensive.

6. Is this your first time in Japan? Tokyo? Seems like you missed many attractions by your itinerary. Takayama and Shirakawa-go can be done Free and Easy.

Your day 2 is extremely packed. People usually take 1 full day to cover Universal Studios.

From Osaka you can take a Shinkansen (bullet train) ride to Tokyo:
From Shin-Osaka station (just a few stops away from Osaka station), take the Shinkansen to Tokyo station.
This journey takes about 2 and a half hours, and costs 14450yen for a reserved seat or 13620yen for a unreserved seat.

Then from Tokyo station, transfer to the JR Chuo line train to JR Shinjuku station.
This journey takes 15mins and costs 200yen.

Seems like you are very much into shopping, since you are not really visiting much of Tokyo other than Shinjuku and Ikebukuro.

i also think day 2 is too packed. theme parks usually will take a whole day coz of the queue for the rides. i suggest having osaka castle and aquarium in day 2, then universal studio in day 5. u can spread out the shopping in namba and umeda to the night times on day 2, 3 and 4

Why Tokyo then Takayama, it should be accessible from Kanazawa by bus and there is a direct train from Osaka to Kanazawa. There is a day tour bus that goes to Shirogawa from Kanazawa, see link in Japan guide for Shirogawa
