you cant i think.
it'll get worst if you start cleaning it with alcohol or sth.
buy a new one or take great care whilest using.
microsoft loves to use these rubber matt material. zz

hmmm accidentally removed the coating on my razer lycosa when i decided to clean it...

dismantled everything and soaked the buttons in water with clothes detergent and you can just rub it off pretty easy. the adhesive layer will also show up as an opaque layer, so you'll know when the thing is clean.

is it good for fps?? i playing bf3 leh.. scared wireless screw up

:s13::s13:

I use it for FPS too! It's the first wireless mouse I've used that doesn't lag. It feels just like a wired mouse. And yes, you need spare rechargeable AA batteries. It really chews through them man. On average a full charge lasts at most 3 days.

Oops saw this topic too late

didnt bother to read thru the posts, but my solution is:

USE JIF!
i applied JIF on a piece of towel tissue and wipe the surface (of my sticky x-mini)

Nice thread, I go home and try with isopropyl alcohol on my macbook pro Speck matt case, the whole top melted like ice cream after 1 year.

Gonna try axe oil first since easily available (at home), if cannot den get the alcohol at Guardian. MX518 no metal outside so one of the problem a bro mentioned here shouldnt be a problem i think.

Axe oil + some rubbing and scratching did the job :)
No more sticky mouse!:s13:

It works for my x-mini too, where as isopropyl alcohol fails.
