I wonder why need a bigger bios?
Asus/Gigabyte/Asrock have the same size of bios before and they don't need to release a 32Mb bios version of 'new' motherboard just to support the new Zen 2 processors. Is it because MSI bios in their motherboards are bloated?

No, not all.
During the launch, the bios were not available.
(Only certain beta ones)
Even during the launch last week, cpu stock was very limited.
As it's in the mids of transition, we recommended dealers to only update the bios if the sales were with 3000 series.
If it's still 2K series, no.
Reason being the bios is 32mb which the chip by default cant support the main uefi gui.
(due to lack of space)
So it was overhauled to a "lite" version which some may face some old bugs.

It's barely 10days and quite a few bioses have been updated.
So for now it's best to update the latest upon purchase.
It's been 3 iterations, it shouldn't be hard for dealer to update.
If they refuse to do it, you can always bring to us to update for you.
Once the 2000 series have fully transited, by then the market & stocks will have adjusted too.

See corbell reply

So which one good? Got optical port bo?

Of course those $1000 motherboard lah
