I have had way more fun clocking memory than CPU/GPU.
Anyway today most modern CPUs especially are already pretty much maxed out. The additional voltage and heat to push that additional 100Mhz or 200Mhz just is not worth it unless you have a good cooling setup. I think most of the old birds here also pretty much run much more straight forward setups today given how must they pushed and tinkered with their systems years ago. Today's trend simply have changed.

im also wanting to jump over to ryzen ytd itchy hand remove my mobo from my case... now pc like test bench but doing 4.6ghz with 1.28v @ average over 60-70 degrees with 75 peak
Nowadays CPU manufacturers literally have ways to overclock their CPUs to the max automatically using sensors and shytz and lots of testing
And mind you these turbos need to pass server-level stability requirements, not just count as pass because it passed Furmark or prime95 or something.
other than for the demand for RGB sync and custom water cooled loops...

is already so unstable when pushing all 32C64T at 100% utilization in code builds. Friggin' segfaults and processor lockups.
