overclocking guideline

hi all

im using a asus z87a mobo i7 4770k

aiming to clock to 4.2ghz

any values to recommend?

What CPU cooler have you got? If it's the stock cooler it's not going to make it.

Also, use variable voltage overclocking (Auto + voltage offsets). Just set your desired multiplier and see how much voltage the motherboard is supplying while running, say, Prime95. If stable, offset voltage down a bit and try again until unstable. If unstable, do the reverse until stable.
