Just to check
If I am going overseas thailand and expect alot of calls.
Cn I divert my number to a prepaid Thailand number, so that when people call me when I am at Thailand, my local line wont incur roaming charges
When you set (local mobile line) divert calls and to oversea Thailand number it require to add a prefix + or IDD code beside the oversea Thailand number.
In this way it is like using (local mobile line) outgoing calls to oversea Thailand number and will occur international calls charges accordingly.
However there may be another method on using (local mobile line) to call overseas and paying local outgoing calls charges, in this similar call divert feature (but not sure if it works or not).
Example; Starhub postpaid mobile do have this >
VAS IDD 018 subscription.
Calls using this IDD prefix will be charged by deducting from the postpaid plans or local outgoing calls rates.
But do note that this VAS IDD 018 do have a limit of 700 minutes usage per month and once exceed it will charge the normal IDD 008 rates.
Please do confirm on this as not sure if it works on this method.
Not sure on this service for both M1 and Singtel.
