currently waiting to get posted to my stay out unit

I was told by my cousin that we cant take more than 5 days of overseas leave consecutively or cannot be missing from work place for more than 14 days (which is the number of leaves entitled a year duh)

Is what he says is true? Need some clarification on this as I do not want to be AWOL-ing for no apparent reason.

if not wrong is cannot take more than 14 days in a row if not weekends are counted as taking leave so effectively u will have less than 14 days of leave to use.

Check with your leave clerk or something or reading the directives

yup. check with your S1. above 14days need special approval from your CO.

Not really more than 14 days. If u go on the 3rd jun and back to work on the 17th, u would have burn all 14 days iirc. It's was like that a decade plus ago. I took 28 days straight for edu, collected pink ic 1 mth early.
It sucks I tell u.

i don't really think who the approving officer is matter as not everybody got CO. or the CO is so high up that he doesn't care abt this kind of stuff. It's more like the directives that states above x days, weekends counts towards your leave so effectively you lugi

i tot in the past we dun get the whole 14days one short. it's split into quarterly or something.
