A single dominant political party system is called Communism, or even Dictatorship.

A two-party system makes the political specturm very polarised, which can be seen in US.

A good balance is a THREE-party system.

I agree one party system is the best for singapore. It can work like how its working in Japan. BUT there needs to be transparency and internal competition within that one party. Cannot be like PAP now, everyone inside so scared of the boss, don't dare to say or do anything to offend the boss. A party of yes-men will lead to the downfall of this country.
One party system will ALWAYS leads to yes-man party down the road. That is a fact. Which is why one-party systems are never good in the long run, and they will gradually turn into either communism or dictatorship.

But two parties leads to no-man at the start to the end of the road.
