i have been considering these two dell monitors, but the only thing holding me back is the price.

i'm really appealed by the U2414's design, thin bezel, slim. but then it's about $100 more than the P2314 and i'm thinking whether it's worth forking out more just to get the U2414.

the only difference I can see is the display ports, and one inch bigger, besides the thin bezel and nice design of U2414.

$100 more worth?

Wrong liao lah you.
Not just one inch difference.
Screen quality wise not much difference other than size but other difference includes.

P2314h is usb 2 hub.
U2414h is usb 3 Hub.

U2414H boh dvi got dp hdmi and audio output 3.5mm.
Also U2414H got mhl for its hdmi.

Moi yesterday hoot u2424h at $319.

You decide for yourself if you going to use your monitor as USB hub or output for speakers or link to your andriod for bigger screen or use the additional hdmi for console.

The $100 premium is for the thin bezels. Nothing more, nothing less.

The P2314H is a solid monitor for productivity and office usage. The U2414H appeals more to users with multi-monitor setups due to the thin bezels between the monitors placed side-by-side.

Have you seen both in person? Worth or not will be up to you. You sound like your heart already decided on the U2414 and need help to justify the purchase =:p

If you expect to be staring at this monitor for the next 3 years, $100 works out to $0.09 per day. :D

Of course, if you can imagine yourself looking at the P2314 for the next 3 years, and not have any regrets about not spending the $0.09/day to get the U2414, then you're better off with the $100 in your pocket.

you are actually right :s13::s13:

i think whoever compares the P2314 and U2414 side by side would definitely choose the U2414.

that's why I'm thinking, maybe I should get a better monitor so I won't wake up and see my monitor and be like fak why does it look so old
