Since working overseas , I do not have the spare time any more to do review or catch up with DIY parts.

So I am now creating a thread for you guys to give me your views on some of the latest hardware and software combi.

Some of these already in my possession and some of these I have asked my distro friends to send them to me once available

Looks like a interesting AIO liquid cooler. I was told that local distro will bring it in soon. German pump! My next trip home in August I will hoot one. Currently there is only a L-Lite version with a 30mm Rad. understand from the Video there will be a XL version with 44mm Rad

The Haswell bug has caught up with me so when I came back in June, went to SLS and build a new rig based on my recent rig profile:



The joke is when I came back on Sunday, pick up the parts in the afternoon and then fixed up quickly and power on. Guess what! It cannot be power on. The next day I have to head for Tokyo so I have no time to troubleshoot. Came back a week later and after some initial test I think the Motherboard DOA. So get it replaced and choose the MAX version.

For those of you intending to get the MSI motherboard and are contemplating get the MPower series, my suggestion is get the MPower Max for the extra power mofsets for only $30 extra.

If you ask me how do they compare against Sandy, my answer is hot! They are hotter when OC to 4.4Ghz and beyond. But I like the all SATA 3 ports and the stability it brings as compared to Sandy.

Corner means there is a physical location. If you need a place to put the stuff temporarily, you can use my hardware room.

For AIO cooling, there is Swiftech H220, Corsair new H110 280mm model and NZXT Kraken X60 280mm model. Both Corsair and NZXT are Asetek OEM though.

Ther was an MO for H220 not too long back. Not sure how the owners are finding it.
