Easier if you mentioned the purpose of the card, work or games u playing and at what resolution. Also budget.

If out of warranty can try replace thermal paste

why not go to pc themes and compare the various gfx. see which really suit you but for cs go dun think it require 980. 750 would be fine.

Idle at 45 degrees. highest i saw was 80 degrees.

has the temperature increase over time? try turning max your fan at load and try again and at which point of temp it starts to reboot. when confirm is overheating of gpu try the advise of others of reapplying thermal paste.

i mean 80 degrees is the highest i have seen but it could be higher then it restarts. i have reapplied thermal paste and cleaned all the filters. when i on the aircon, it doesnt restarts. i tried touching the back of the gfx just after it reboots, its freaking hot.

Troubleshoot first before concluson. The very last thing we want is for you to anyhow spend uneccessary money.

1. Open up your chassis.
2. Download furmark.
3. Use msi afterburner and set the fan profile to achieve higher fan movements.
4. Run furmark.
5. Monitor what is the behaviour of your gpu temps. If it surge quickly to above 80deg see if it shuts down.
6. If it shuts before the 80deg mark, high chance your psu is faulty.
7. If it shuts after 88deg mark most likely high chance overheating. I doubt it is overheating. Cause if it is then reapplying of thermal paste helps. But to you it doesnt.
