My MIL's Panasonic is 10 years old. Last year we changed the PCB for almost $300, as there were some issues pointed out. Our aircon guy sourcedthe part and it took about 1 week before he could repair it. After that, the aircon works as well as before.

Hi,
I'm looking to purchase aircon over the weekend.
I'm wondering if Panasonic aircon are good in terms of reliability, performance and features.
Anybody using Panasonic aircon can advise? Thanks in advance.

Quite good if service periodically

Don't.

My Panasonic inverter system-3 aircon installed two years back broke down 2 months after installation. Had to change the PCB of one unit. One year later, another unit's motor up lorry. 1.5 years later, another unit's PCB up lorry. Air-con assembled in Malaysia.

Choose it at your own peril.

wow you really had rotten luck with that brand

for myself I have an apartment with Panasonic aircons supplied by developer over 15 yrs ago, used and abused by tenants but mostly working fine and damn cold still.
only 1 system 1 unit was replaced about 5 years ago cos it had some on off issues and it made more sense to replace it than to repair such an old system.

"Intel is best because most people around me use Intel can get spare motherboard and my office also use Intel. Expensive but you pay for what you get."

Food for thought.

Most aircon reviews in Singapore are irrelevant because we only own one aircon of a model that is 15 years old. Nobody is going around doing proper aircon reviews.
i got 2 pc my intel pc the fan sound like helicopter takes off when under medium and above loads
but my amd is cool and quiets

Maybe the old ones were great (as seen from many positive comments on old Panasonic aircon), but the recent batches might have turned cmi.

no doubt.... sanyo and national become panasonic

if me ..... i go for mitsubishi or daikin... consider on spare parts btw!!!!
mitsubishi got 2 and they are 2 different companies. Electric which is known with their starmex series and heavy industries which is well know for its shipbuilding, etc

Used to use Panasonic before changing to starmex. Preferred Panasonic.

All those people who say Daikin … your Daikin is from how long ago? Current-gen Daikin is garbage. There are previous threads on it.
