Currently using Panasonic Lumix GF7 which I bought in April 2015, love the food mode! However I've always wanted a Olympus Pen even till now.
Was considering between the Lumix and Olympus EPL7 last year and I chose the former due to the screen flipping up thus allowing selfie when mount onto a tripod or put on table. So I thought I would wait for the Olympus EPL8 to see if I would like to upgrade.
The EPL8 looks really beautiful but there doesn't seem much upgrade from the EPL7 so I guess it's back to Lumix GF7 vs Olympus EPL7 again. I guess forget about the screen flipping direction as for the one year plus, I barely used the selfie screen
just a good feature to have, in case.
Pretty satisfied with the Lumix picture quality, it's simple to use and compact but when I search for Olympus EPL7 pics on Instagram or reviews, they look much better than the Lumix. Personally, I prefer vibrant and saturated colours. My usual subjects are animals and food.
Do you think it's worth to switch my Lumix GF7 for an Olympus EPL7? Or should I even consider the EPL8? I've never used Olympus camera before so please provide some opinions.
Should I also get the Pancake lens instead for my subjects irregardless of Lumix or Olympus pen?

My Lumix is still working fine currently but while travelling on two different occasions, the camera capture button failed to work as it had some contact with the rain but after a few days of drying up and resting, it became back to normal without affecting the picture quality.
