My own views only...
1) using lawsuits to topple the opposition (no longer works and much hated too)
2) inability to attract the likes of Nicole Seah, He Ting Ru, Jamus Lim, Leon Perera
3) out-dated method of redrawing electoral boundaries to increase its advantage
4) skewed media coverage of GE (https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/...ge-ge-might-we-coverage-pm-lee-;-6328873.html, https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/...hursday-coverage-ge2020-big-joke-6324252.html)
5) one too many times change of constitution. Where's the democratic process when Halimah became President? Whatever your rationale!
6) arrogance and lacking in compassion
7) lacking in transparency in areas such as...does anyone know HC's salary? If it's a secret, why is it a secret?
8) Singaporeans losing jobs to FTs and becoming Grab drivers. Even a cleaner at 55 is touted as a good story by a new candidate (https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/...-cleaner-job-after-up-upskilling-6328146.html).
9) rising inequality and attempting to solve with schemes such U-save vouchers of peanut amounts once or twice a year
10) rising costs of living and in spite of that a 9% GST is imminent
11) faring worse than so many countries (Taiwan, New Zealand, South Korea, Hong Kong) in handling covid-19 and yet seemingly to claim success in the fight
12) can't stand it when soon xue ling was on Channel 8 to talk and sing in Hokkien and the uncle MC kept praising her "You very pretty. The prettiest mayor I have come across" (something like that, not once but a few times). We are not Taiwan, don't use this kind of 70's distasteful wayang.
13) CPF monthly payouts starting at 65. Can't they let people opt in to receive payouts earlier, like 55 or 60? Some past 60 already on wheelchairs, have suffered a stroke, or recovering from cancer. How to enjoy life with the money after 65 when one's health is no longer good?
14) Last but not least, their weapon of choice: character assassination of oppo candidates during GEs.
As Dr Tan said, it has lost its way.
