Partial PC upgrade

Hi, my 7years PC suddenly cannot on.. At first i thought it was my PSU, but done the paperclip & multimeter test everything is okay.. So i suspect its my mobo or processor..

Right now im contemplating between ryzen 2600 and 3600.
Motherboard wise still haven decide. (Any suggestion?)

Im not going to OC and i will be using it for 1080 gaming and some work (MS OFFICE)

PSU: EVGA 650W G3
GPU: SAPPHIRE RX580 8GB
STORAGE: CRUCIAL MX500 GB & 1TB HDD
K/B & MOUSE
MONITOR

WHAT I NEED:
CPU: RYZEN 2600 OR 3600
MOBO: B450 -Prefer MATX (Suggestions)
CASING: MICRO ATX with side windows (Suggestions)

BUDGET : $500

Many people will suggest getting AsRock B450M Pro4 or Steel Legend for slightly cheaper, but I seem to have terrible luck with AsRock products.

Between 2600 and 3600, if you are getting locally, the 3600 is a better deal.

As for casing and motherboard, I feel getting a full ATX case will be better. I like MATX, but I figured since the first gen Ryzen that there are very limited choices for MATX. Its improved over the years, but there are still more and better choices in the ATX side of things. B450 chipset should be more than sufficient for your usage.

And don't forget that you need RAM too.

Your budget is a little tough to work with but the general recommendation is as follows: -

AMD Ryzen 5 3600
MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX
16GB RAM Kit

This should last sometime and if you want to give the system a boost in the future you will only need to upgrade the GPU!

3600 is using the Zen 2 architecture which has the benifits of the 7nm process node. Basically it runs at a higher clock speed and is more efficient.

Whereas the 2600 is using Zen+ architecture and is built on the 12nm process - less efficient.

If you want to future-proof its better to go for the 3600. Yes it costs more but better in the long run it will last longer as its not a gen behind.

I've ald enquired PCT and TradeP on the CPU+MOBO bundle. Both are helpful and willing to recommend me based on my budget.

Seeing that 3600 can last me quite some time and mostly recommended 3600, im willing to stretch my budget to $650..

Why im going MATX because my current ATX setup with NZXT Phantom 410 is too big for my computer desk..

Btw, what do you think of the Giga mobo that Tradepac recommend?..I know its a very basic mobo but do you think its good enough for me?..As in if u have encountered probs with Giga mobo lately or you came across bad reviews..

Asrock B450m Pro4 is OOS at tradepac.. Its either I just go with TP recommendation or I will try to enquire on Steel Legend or any MSI matx mobo which most redditors recommend

As for the ram, will i go wrong with 16gb 3200mhz and below for my setup?..

if tradepac no hav, u can check dynacore
asrock b450m pro4 is the best value budget board
msi b450 tomahawk max is the best b450 mb

2*8 (16gb) is current standard for gaming
you can possible go 2*4gb(8) now and add another 2*4gb later on
but it isn't worth it to buy 2*4gb from oversea, and local ram is overprice

3200mhz cl16 vs 3600mhz cl16 difference is minimum, good to have higher speed but no budget then stick to 3200mhz cl16

Get an M.2 NVMe SSD which will be better than a SATA SSD avoiding the SATA port limitations
