For the record, I am an IFA and I have a 10 years participation fund analysis WITH supporting document from various insurers form 2014 (annual par fund report & product summary).

I used to post on my website but took it down when I realised my analysis was misused so I only show my clients on a face to face meeting. The usual 3 year history shown on the product summary is too short and give false impression at times. Hence, I recommend you look at time frame of at 8 years to have a better feel on the participating fund performance. Do ensure the calculation is done with compound interest and no simple interest.
