Current partition sequence
1-PQService (Acer), 2-System Reserved, 3-Windows 7, 4-Shared Data (NTFS)

Total of 4 Primary partitions

I want to install Ubuntu by deleting the PQService because I dont need it any more, but would like to double check first, whether this will affect the behavior and cause problems for Win7 booting or during days when I might need to repair Windows using a retail CD?

Is there such thing where Win7 needs to be the first few partitions?

If you're not going to use Acer's eRecovery system then just go ahead and overwrite it.

It won't matter because
1. PQService partition is not required for booting
2. Ubuntu's boot-loader (IIRC GRUB?) will overwrite the boot anyway
3. If all fails the MBR can be easily repaired using the the repair option on Ubuntu's Live CD or Windows' installation media
