How much per annum is then considered as passive 'income'?

Is not how much. Is the amount money you could collect by doing “nothing”.

Eg stock dividends, bank interest, property rental, royalties.

There is no real "passive" income if we used the strictest definition of passive.
The closer I can think of is a property rental, u only need to do it once every year or 2 years if you outsourced the rental solution to an agent.

or an index fund etf or dividend fund etf e.g, that is managed by the fund managers and you only DCA into it once a year and hold it.

If you are into individual stocks, definitely, u r still managing it actively.

Jus define it as whether u r the one generating the income. For example, div from reit is passive bcos u r not the one providing the property management service

I'm into individual stock, but I adopt buy n hold strategy. If I don't rebalance my portfolio at all in 2018, technically all the dividends can be counted as passive income. Right? ;)

Received $328 from bonds and interests from savings.
In total, I achieved around $2k per month in 2018. :s12:

I really miss your posts.

I think passive income is something that supplements your job income. Researching stocks in your weekends or evenings and sometimes even during workday, is also passive, because it is not like you would use that time for some other means. Usually people enjoy researching stocks or reading macros. So it is not like work.

Active income is where you directly get paid for the hours you put it. Usually it is a compulsion. Given a choice I would not like to go to work.

I am impressed with Dividend warriors dividend income barchart. I am now planning to construct s similar one for my networth growth. Unfortunately I started tracking only since last 5 years. But I can go back to my old bank statements, fund account statements etc and construct it. It is a pain, but worth it.

I only started recording dividends in 2016, and no interest to spend so much effort digging up my older records.... ? :s13:
