Your clinic is bad. Difficult to give MC then try to sell expensive vaccination and health screening.

I am generally ok with giving mc if indicated. Seldom I give time chits unless really pt suspected to be malingering.

I came across a lady who had nose cancer picked up early cause she did ebv serology screening for NPC. Recovering well. My deputy secretary friend and many other pts do it yearly cause they have health benefits from company.

good.. hope more employers practice this in the future

https://www.channelnewsasia.com/new...ow-sick-leave-without-mc-doctor-note-10949548

so that no one will bother going to a doctor for small issues like cough and flu anymore for MC and hope majority of the clinics in Singapore close down

How can nurses and pharmacists give MC when they r not trained sufficiently? Or TCM Drs? Will they be responsible if something goes wrong? This NMP is a pharmacist right?

Another view that shows cumulative distribution of new inflow and profits.
So 20% of my networth is profits.

But what if it is money laundering?

No, it's just a straight-up scam, and like people have said, this one's been around since even before email. "Advance-fee fraud" (which is what they're going to do to you) has been around since the 1800s.

The idea is that they lure you in with promises of huge amounts of money, and then they add "oh but you need to pay a small administration fee to get the money released". They'll start small, usually a few hundred dollars - but if you pay the first payment, they'll realise you're gullible enough that you believe them, and they'll start asking you for more and more fees.

There is no million dollars. They're just trying to con you into sending them money.

This Singapore retiree didn't know how to invest for his retirement.. let his wife bank RM made a recommendation on their investment and lost 250K.. Btw, heard this man loss was buying a 1 lot 250K OTC bond that recently went bankrupt!

Sometimes, I think for people who don't know about investment better put it in CPF.. An index ETF will be a second choice..

Nice.. I like this with absolute figure n percentage on every bar. Ur profit jumped from-1% to over 10% in 1 year! That must be a bumper crop year for u! It's also commendable that you r able to save around 60k per year. Care to share how much is ur annual salary?

Do both. CPF is the “SHTF” part, especially if you make CPF-related decisions that way. CPF is cheap financial defense, truly.

One thing I’m curious about is whether and how that particular retiree somehow got past MAS’s “accredited investor” requirements to buy a S$250K corporate bond. MAS’s requirement is too weak, in my view. I don’t think anybody with less than S$5 million net worth ought to be buying even one S$250K corporate bond, and then only maybe one or two. MAS sets the limit a lot lower, but there is a limit.

Commendable! How are you able to set aside $60K on a gross of $100K, after paying for tax and for expenses?

dont buy car.

living on 40k per year is not difficult, esp if u alr paid off ur hse. many households live on less than that.

no... that uncle who place a cardboard around his neck stating his wife lost his 250k retirement money bcos of a product sold by UOB.
So apparently he’s wearing a sign to protest the loss of 10% (or less, maybe much less) of his wealth. OK, he’s free to do that I suppose. We’re free to be less sympathetic if we wish.

There’s a reason his bond had a 6% yield (or whatever). It was risky!

One question for experts here
Is it still the right time to continue to add high dividend shares and reit this month?
I am looking at MLT but it just shot to 1.40 😮
So I’m looking at move away from REIT to high yielding stocks for this month
