You need to be a bit careful here. More often than not, "passive income" is shorthand for "I'm about to try to recruit you into a Ponzi scheme".

"Passive income" should really only refer to things where you literally sit back and pocket the income stream. Investing in dividend stocks is "passive income". Investing in bonds is "passive income".

Trading stocks or options or FX or buttcoins or whatever is not "passive income" because you have to sit there and stress out about your positions and your risk management all day. Trust me on this: being a trader is stressful as hell. It will take years off your life.

Running an "internet marketing" business is not "passive income", it's "being an asshole". Investing in land-banking or an obvious Ponzi scheme is not "passive income", it's "being an idiot".

I'd even go so far as to say that renting out an apartment is not "passive income", because you still have to answer phone calls at two in the morning when the pipes are blocked and the toilet's overflowing.

So don't get seduced when you see the words "passive income". Most "passive income" schemes are either not really passive, completely dodgy, or both.
I disagree that Internet Marketing is about being an asshole. I make some money through affiliate marketing when I refer a friend to use a service that I like. I don't think that's necessary a bad thing.

Hey I think we should not hard up over the word "passive", just income will do.

Trader who need to use chart all day would consider active.
Trader who use algo may consider passive, after its active research and programming.

Thanks for all the response.

I have read up more and investing in stocks for dividends is a good way to start. Property is out of reach.

A colleague recommended a couple of local blogs which I have started reading. AK from ASSI and B from FFF. AK's dividends are .

I have a lot to learn.

Passive income has been always the talk in town due to lucrative "do-nothing" deals. However, why would someone really share with you passive income when he can reap full returns..

Something to ponder: If it's too good to be true, it probably is.

that's because passive income methods are no secrets.
You just tell me what method are you using for passive income? Maybe its running a blog. I can easily go online google on how to make money from blogging and receive the info.

So might as well make even more passive income by sharing.
