Chey, thought there is security issue. So far pretty happy with keychain. Prefer built in solution. Though also exploring bitwarden for compatibility with android and pc.

I'm using dashlane on my macbook and 1Password on my iPhone. Both using the free version features and nv paid a single cent. Satisfied with both. Maybe 1Password feels slightly more polished to me.

Polished as in the UI or user friendly?

Was tempted to get this till i read about dashlane. The latter is more ex but apparently more feature filled.
The others can't match my taste. If not for the customisable password generator and OTP auto-copying function. I would have stuck to iCloud Keychain.

Silly question. So say i install a password manager be it dashlane, lastpass or 1password on my MBP & iphone. Obviously using any apps on my phone & accessing any websites via safari on phone or MBP will be straightforward i.e. the manager will auto enter the password for me.

But what if i need to view a website on someone else’s phone or the office PC? Im obviously not gonna install my password manager there. So then how do i know what’s the super complex password which the manager has auto generated?

All this as opposed to simply creating my own password which I know & can enter into any public PC for e.g.

Open up, reveal the password and type manually. Most of the time I just tell them to F off if they want to use my device for testing.

I will just tell them that my password is 24 characters generated and I don't know.

Lol. U misunderstood. I mean what if i myself (not some other person) am accessing a website on office PC. Currently i memorise my passwords so regardless which PC i just type it in.

When i do move to password manager im gonna let it assign some complex password which i cant possibly remember. No issues on my own devices cos the manager is installed on them & i know the master password.

But im not gonna install the manager on office PC so how then will i log in cos obviously the password is now going to be something too complex for me to remember?

Open your password manager, reveal your password and type manually of course.

It’s a good thing also. When I was approached by those insurance agents and asked me to login singpass, I say I don’t remember my password. Which is true.

Than Enpass comes in handy, because the DB file is on your local device, so you can also copy to your work PC and use Enpass to open, whether you are able to synchronize it’s depends on your network.

But usually corporate will not block 1Password URL, but where you can install 1Password on your work PC could be different story.

You can give 1Password a try.

Yeah, open the password manager, reveal the password and type manually. I've mentioned in my post as well. It's good.

You can change it either on safari or app, just need to re-login again.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Went with dashlane in the end. Darkweb monitor was interesting. It flagged my email as in danger from adobe.com 😮 Decided to change my email pw.
