Coral Island or Koh lan, need to cross river.
Tiger Zoo further out in Sriracha

North, South and Central pattaya are just the way the area is split up, they are all pattaya and not far away. Generally tourist travel around Pattaya by the bath bus, which is just a songthaew pickup.

Koh Larn - clean, short boat ride from Pattaya.
Pattaya is bad, noone goes there for swimming.

Depend what is your agenda.. U wanna nice clean beach and also wanna explore pattaya then go to koh lan during the day and back to Pattaya after u are done.

If u just wanna relax in a nice beach ur whole stay and not far from bkk, u shouldn't bother with Pattaya. Stay in koh lan or change to go other place like hua hin.

Any idea how to travel from bangkok to pattaya and to koh larn? Possible to travel out from bangkok early morning return on the same day?

you can catch a bus from victory monument or from ekkamai. Will cost couple 100bht

can arrange transport to pattaya.. if u r travelling with family. I dont encourage to take own bus.. provided u travel alone and can speak fairly good thai.. else better take car...

we paid for the car two ways.. camry, quite comfortable
