Airasia is the only airline that flies there from singapore
one timing
once u reach there, basically is very late lol
u no need to get cab from outside the main road
cox the place is so dark like jungle lol
u either book driver urself, or u go to their counter to book transport lol
think oni one counter so if u no take, u will stuck at the airport lo

haha cox i stay near there what lol
maybe is weekend tats why
went there during weekend ...

central festival is around soi 9
soi 8 whole stretch of road is like geylang
there r many gals dancing on top of the tables with many bars

soi 9 and soi 8 is just one stretch away, 5 to 10 sec walk
you would see few gals standing around the soi 8
then u will see many ang moh got drunk , dancing with gals there lol

for those taking airasia, once ur flight arrive pattaya
you mux walk their stairs and wait for bus to pick you to immigration counter ... all stores closed
is better to buy sim card from airasia flight, 299b
there is oni one bus, so they would fetch the passengers at least 2x

once u reached the immigration, only 3 counters opened
you have to queue at the counter there
after u finish immigration, you walk 30seconds, is the entrance out already
if u get ur driver urself, he or she will wait you there with ur name
if not, u have to get transport from the airport counter
think is 1000b, not sure no ask

if u book driver urself, is 600 to 800b
safer to book with someone who have a pic
later u not sure who pick u up
some drivers drive very fast up to 120 ...
cox the road from airprot out 15min, is a whole stretch of deserted place,
super dark, so be prepared...

after driving for about 20min, would reach the main road
then about 50min would reach jomtian ....
from there onwards, more cars, and would slightly jam awhile
then reaching central festival mall area is another 30+ min or more

managed to get the pricing for both my trips ...

second week in Jan on weekdays...I just search March too, but cheapest is 50+ with breakfast.

Hi,

Am currently still in Pattaya and will be departing in a few hours' time. Indeed a "sin city" if compared to Phuket/Bali/Krabi/Boracay. But we have to have an open mind wherever we travel on this planet.

Rented a bike the entire period of my trip. No issue travelling out of Beach Road area to other beaches (Jomtien beach and Naklua beach).

I stayed at 247 Boutique Hotel. Quite a new hotel and i do like its interior.

Still in the midst of planning my itinerary
However a few places i would like to visit:
1) The cartoon network theme park
2) Floating Market
3) Nong Nooch botanics
4) Skydive Pattaya
5) Beaches ect

Accommodation wise:
As mentioned, the hotels are pretty cheap!
-Hard Rock Hotel @ Pattaya which cost 100-120 per night for 2
-Baron Beach Hotel @ 50-60 per night for 2

Anyone tried the Hard Rock Hotel before? Any Feedback?

Transportation:
Will be looking @ the recommendation by dede1217.
Nam's Taxi Lady Drivers Pattaya
I have yet to contact this lady driver on her rates if i were to travel back and forth from my hotel.

Any other things should i take note particularly in Pattaya?
How is Pattaya's security like? Would Tourist get picked on in broad day light? (Especially Asians like us )

Pattaya is quite safe, lah. No issue at all. Having said that, you still need to be careful. Like they said, low crime doesn't mean no crime. Hahaha...... I was there in March and stayed in Baywalk Residence, besides the shopping mall - Royal Garden Plaza. Had a wonderful time and would definitely go again. If you like cocktail, try those mobile cocktail stall along Beach Road at night. Quite cheap - RM250 (S$10) a bucket, which is more than enough for 2 persons to share.

I did seawalking, jet ski and banana boat + lazing at Koh Lark. The floating market is a man-made tourist trap that caters to PRC tourist mainly. It's a little chinatown there.

I also went to big buddha, Wat Yansangwararam and buddha on the hill. Pattaya is very safe, just avoid walking along the beach at midnight...

Thanks for the input! I think i have been to the floating market when i was young. Just wanted to revisit that place again.
So your advise will be to avoid the floating market? or its just simply not worth the time

If you want to revisit the place again to reminisce the memories or never been to a floating market before, it is ok just to go have a feel...

If you are heading to bkk, you may try going to Maeklong Train Station market + Amphawa floating market also.

I feel that Pattaya has nothing much for me if I minus the temples and shopping part. 3 days is enough to do/see everything there already.

My departure timing from Pattaya have been rescheduled by AirAsia & in their email notice. It was mentioned i could change my travel dates.

However, after selecting the "FLIGHT RECOVERY OPTIONS" to change a travel date. Not even a single travel date is available for me to select. So I did a check by booking from their website again to check if dates are really not available. But the return shows that there are still available slots for the travel dates I want to change to.

Chatted with their online CSO(since there is no CS hotline for Singapore which I only realize that), Asked to send e-form. 2 days passed but no reply from them. Knowing that Air Asia CS sucks should i just suck it up and not amend my travel dates?

They changed for us another date, which we do not want. Hence, have chosen for refund instead. They took about 1.5 to 2 months to refund the full amount to us.

Manage to expedite this issue by contacting their online CSO x2 & messaging AirAsia Singapore via Facebook.
And Thai AirAsia Contacted me today via phone call to change my travel date. Guess i was luck
