Hi guys,
Recently had this very vexing issue that I'm not sure what to go bout resolving. My PC basically auto-restarts sometimes after booting into Windows shortly or even when using desktop. Just these 2 days, after a few restarts, it may just power up and not boot. Gotta manually shut it down, rest abit and power back on.
I suspect it's my CPU overheating thus this happens. Have since also changed intel's original heatsink to Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo and used it since Sep'13. Stopped happening the past few months but just came back since last week.
Listing the more possible culprits:
Mobo: MSI P67A-G45 link
Chip: Intel i5-2500K (forgot which exact chip but should be this)
Idle temp: 45 to 49C (seems to be the same as when using intel original heatsink/fan. Chip temp spoil? Also tried opening up my side panel but doesn't seem to help much. )
I also don't overclock. Does anyone have any similar issues and/or clue on this? Btw, chip warranty's 1 year? My setup should be around the 3rd year mark by now.
Appreciate if anyone can shed some light on the above. Thanks! (Apologies for WOT, just wanna detail out as much as possible)
