PC Build around $1k

Hi All,

Would like to have some advise on building a new PC around $1k ~ $1.1k
Mainly used to play games in 1440p, watch show and some minor video editing.
Game wise the quality dont really need ultra high, i believe a 1660 TI would do the job well for high settings?

Below are some of the items that i researched abit but need some expert help on this, not sure to choose between 2600 or 2600x and no idea which mobo to choose to. Will it be better to choose a mobo with wifi or should i just get a seperate wifi card?

HDD: Toshiba 2TB ~ $79
Case: White Case (anyone can reco white casing?)
OS: Not needed

Can link that gpu? You sure you can find a 1660 ti at that price? The cheapest I saw was close to 400. If you can get it at that price, get it now i guess.

Cpu and mobo just wait. Ryzen 3rd gen coming out in July so just a month wait.

if not, any b450 will do, just double check the manufacturers' announcement to make sure it support upcoming ryzen 3000 cpu

Why not wait for Zen 2 release? AMD to announce the Zen 2 lineup this coming Computex (May 28-Jun 1) then release it by 7th of July. 7 nanometer CPU released on 7th day of the 7th month...

Your budget too tight for 1440p. Suggest you spend more or get gtx 1660 and go 1080p.

If you can get the smaller Adata ssd you can save another $59.00
I would suggest the zotac set for budget constraints and the extra warranty. Sorry I tried my dest I didn't go evga psu because my friend had one take out his system before.
Edit* all parts are purchasable at pc themes at stated prices. You could also bargain a little.

I would rather get superflower eco silver 600w at $99 than that corsair psu . Cheaper and its fully modular vs semi modular.

U can consider intel i5 9400f at $213.xx from amazon primenow app + cheap msi b360m mortar titanium + 2133/2400mhz 16gb value ram from newegg.

For nvme ssd, can also consider intel 660p 500gb ssd in primenow app at $95.xx.

If you mean the 2400G yes it's noticeable my own i7 4790k beats the living **** out of it and my friend's 2600 stomps on me.

Oh and if you're able to find an asrock b450m steel legends, you could save abit more it's a good board too.

My advise is to wait for ryzen 3000 series AND at the same time save your money. Would be better if there's about 1.2-1.4k to work with.

The review above usually uses ultra and it's just a little shy of 60fps at all times so by dialing back a few of the settings, 1660ti should be able to hit the desired 60fps.

Just think of the 1660ti as a 6gb Vram version of 1070(non ti) and the 1070 can support 1440p just fine as long as you tone down some of the settings.

i will be running 1440p on high settings but my monitor is only 60hz, wondering will 2060 really make a big difference?

the reviews and comparison that i have seen so far seems to say not much difference, just curious if anyone got "real life" experience

You have the budget first or not? It's worth it as it can pretty much play high on all mordern games and maintain 60fps.
