PC build for pubg?

Hi guys, i have finally convinced my friend to join me in PUBG but the problem now is i need to help him build a PC.

His budget is 1200 excluding monitor(he have a 27inch monitor i assume is 1080P)

The main purpose would be to play pubg and some light entertainment.

that's bit tight. my budget last year with i5 -8500 / GTX 1060 6GB / 120GB SSD/ 1TB HDD was around 1.5k i think that's excluding monitor, keyboard, mouse. (it's also possible gpu prices went up coz of this mining craze)

27" inch monitor IPS alone you only get with 1900x max resolution is around 400+ might be higher depends on brand

i was thinking i5-8400 + gtx1060 3GB + 8gb ram

does ssd brand matters? Cause i could maybe do a 240gb ssd from kingston / cheaper options

is this like the bare minimum?

that's bit tight. my budget last year with i5 -8500 / GTX 1060 6GB / 120GB SSD/ 1TB HDD was around 1.5k i think that's excluding monitor, keyboard, mouse. (it's also possible gpu prices went up coz of this mining craze)

thanks! just wondering will 8gb of ram feel bottleneck or not. Maybe gotta shrink the ssd into 120gb instead.

you can get cheaper windows 10 home/pro license at reddit or OEM at Sim Lim.. Other might be worth exploring at carousel or even here but hard to come-by good honest seller

Do consider dropping the i5-8400 to i3-8100. U dun need 6C12T for pubg.

For ram, just get value ram 2x 4gb or 1x 8gb for now. At least can upgrade in future if gt budget.

Can consider drop to H310M boards + i3 8100.

RAM just pick any ram that is cheap, 1 x 8GB enuff, so have more slot for upgrading. They work the same and Corsair is just expensive for no reason.

SSD get 250GB, 120GB is too small already. Get normal 2.5" SATA ones can also.

PSU can find EVGA 500BV 80+ Bronze for like $70.

Case if you dont care about looks, Cooler Master N200 is a good and simple choice for cooling.

mouse and kb just get those simple logitech combo can alr, dont do wireless, let him upgrade himself down the road.

Headset dont get those gaming ones, pointless, get those in-ear earpiece that can make phone calls, then get a Y splitter to audio and mic can alr. They give u more accurate sound report and directions.
Came across too many CSGO goondus with headset that cant tell where the footsteps is coming from.

i got a working z270e asus, p400tg black with a scratch on the metal portion,6 x coolermaster rgb light, samsung 960 evo 256g m2 ssd, corsair rm750x psu need to let go and yet to post on carohell.

if interested u all need cpu, cpu cooler, rams,win10 and gpu can leow.

willing to let go and cheap price.

most of it brought last march 2017. psu is brand new. i dun mind letting it go and cheap price clear my storage and help a fellow gamer.
