pc cannot be turn on properly

Hi guys,

My PC cannot be turn on by the power button on the chassis. But it can be turn on by switching on and off the power point very quickly.

Can anyone help me remedy the problem?

Check the power wire whether is it connected properly to the mobo

Casing switch maybe faulty.

Hi, I had the same problem last month with seasonic psu as well, my guess is that your psu circuit board is damaged during some blackout or surge. Just bring your psu for rma.

The PSU can still work if you off/on the switch at the PSU very quickly + the ON button from your casing. However I think in long run it will damage your psu somehow. Best solution is to rma it.

easiest way to check if the power switch is faulty is to remove the header on the motherboard. Then try to jump start by connecting the two pins with a conductor, maybe like the tip of a screwdriver. If it does power on, means its the case switch.

If it doesn't, use a paperclip test. If it does power on, means its not the psu and probably motherboard.

If it doesn't power on even with the paperclip test, probably the psu.
