Hi guys,

Am using intel i6400 and msi bazooka B150M

My pc cannot detect my mouse and keyboard even before windows start up. (at bios). Only sometimes when it detects in windows, it gets very laggy till an unusable stage.

My pc is able to load into windows and windows will prompt that the usb device has malfunctioned.

Initially thought it was windows os problem but after reformatting, it is still the same.

Took out my hard disk and it goes into bios but sighted that the keyboard is still not working.

Have tested my keyboard and mouse in another pc and it is working fine.

I highly suspect it is my motherboard's problem. Any idea which part went wrong guys?

Appreciate the assistance. Thanks!

When I was on a B150M Bazooka, incidentally didn't mount the Intel heat sink properly on early use. End result was CPU easily shoot past 90C and CPU throttling to like 0.5GHz or a similar figure.

Mouse was jumping too. After the heat sink had proper contact issue was completely resolved.

If you are using Windows 7 and want to recreate your image
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25476/Windows-7-USB-3-0-Creator-Utility

Otherwise
You try to locate any USB2.0 ports and plug in your kb and mouse. Chances are, it might work.

If you can get it to work, use a live disk and dump the drivers on the PC from the live disk.
