PC cant boot help pls

Hi just today I tried to boot my PC and it could power on but can't get to BIOS screen. The light on my ssd which is my pri drive is lit though.

I then tried to clear the CMOS and managed to boot to windows. Bit about 5 mins later it just power cut off by itself. Then couldn't boot to BIOS again.

Any idea what's wrong? It's a biostar tp67xe mobo with i5 2500k. The PSU is corsair hx750.

Did you overclock you CPU?

Wait i think i take back on whether did he OC or not. Cause he mentioned that he Reset CMOS so most likely all go back to stock settings.

Then my only suspect is the failing mobo not supplying power well to the CPU. OR possible that the cooling heatsink fan no longer working.

Seems like PSU or Mobo issue.

Yes I did OC but has been stable for a year or so. And you're right that after I reset CMOS it all went back to stock but just power cut by itself after awhile.

My CPU cooler is still working it's an antec kuhler 920 and has 2 fans both still spinning when I power on. Even though the BIOS cannot load.

yr problem is cant boot or auto shutdown?

cant boot = got power but no beep

no power = nothing on

auto shutdown = is got power n beep but will shutdown after a while.

The code is 55 but in the manual there is no code 55 or ss. I don't think it's the temp either cause it just stays at 55 forever.

Will try that removing cmos battery.

1. My problem starts with can't boot. Got power. No beep. No bios. Fans spin. SSD lights on.

2. When I clear the CMOS using the jumper I can boot. Can go windows and click around as if nothing wrong. Suddenly auto shutdown. Power cut everything stop. When I try to turn on again. Go back to step 1.

The code is 55 but in the manual there is no code 55 or ss. I don't think it's the temp either cause it just stays at 55 forever.

Will try that removing cmos battery.

55 on my ASRock mobo means that my ram isn't working. Had experience with 55. I investigated & found out one of my ram stick is faulty (gonna rma tomorrow), removed the ram stick & it started working normally again. However, my 55 error can't even boot into bios, just in a post loop, yours can still boot into windows. Still... can try investigate your ram. no harm trying

Check the ram first ba. Cause the led notification 55 when searching around is ram issue.

But is strange as you are able to boot to windows for awhile and power is being cut off.

My prime suspect is the psu or the mobo power phase could not supply enough power to the cpu. Change the psu and see whether can boot. If still cannot meaning the mobo could be at fault.

with faulty psu or mb, during POST when not enuff voltage going to rams - possible to cause debug code 55?
