PC can't get pass bios screen

hi bros,

kindly seeking advice on what could be the possible issue and where can i start with troubleshooting.

comp is running but dies and can't get to windows logo.

tried unplugging gpu and run via integrated GPU but doesn't work
tried replacing HDD but doesn't work.
tried reinserting rams but doesn't work too.

Do you mean you unable to see the bios screen at all?

Possible the motherboard battery running low..try new battery?

May I know which model for your motherboard?

Windows probably corrupted which mean hard disk may have issue.

- Try reinstall Windows
- During Windows installation if it BOSD that means hard disk failure.

If you have any data on the old drive and no backup than I suggest get a new hard disk.

Windows probably corrupted which mean hard disk may have issue.

- Try reinstall Windows
- During Windows installation if it BOSD that means hard disk failure.

If you have any data on the old drive and no backup than I suggest get a new hard disk.

I've already tried doing a clean installation of windows using a usb flash into the hdd and no bsod happened during the installation process.

Extra info:
After passing the loading circle thing, the display just blacks out instead of loading the splash screen of windows 10.

when you start your PC keep pressing the keyboard F2 button try to login the bios?

If you are able to login bios check your PC boot sequence if it is referred to your current OS HDD?

Yes, can access bios and ive checked that the boot sequence was referred to my current OS HDD.

How about try only 1 stick ram and put in other empty slot and see if any issue?

Tried but still doesnt work, tried alternating the rams between the slots as well.

- Run Memtest to check if the RAM is working.

Many thanks for sharing, your bios seems outdated since 2015 and it's good if you could update it base on the motherboard support page I attach in post #7.

Also after bios update try the ram placement at A2 slot as below screenshot recommended by your motherboard manual



I recommend try each ram at a time if still have issue just try any other slot.

Basically it's trial and error troubleshooting now need to try multiple possibilities.

Also you can try to put your HDD to next sata port to test if the current sata port have issue.

Faulty SSD also can cause system freeze, you can try use Crystaldiskmark.
Run it see whether does it freeze or crash.

Hi, I reflashed bios and tried reinserting the ram to no avail. same for the HDD part as well. i also tried swapping the sata connector as well.

GFX is Asus strix gtx 960 OC edition 4GB

Did you remember what you last did before this problem occurred?

DId you do a system update or firmware update or anything?

nothing actually. was opening youtube then suddenly the whole thing just freeze and my audio was outputting like those broken records sound (infinite 1 sec loop).

but my pc had like a few no display issues whenever i unsleep with my keyboard, like the monitor couldnt detect a signal from the pc,

It's Windows problem. It could be corrupt by Windows update. You have 2 choices, 1. Revert Windows update or 2. Factory Reset(if no backup, select keep files option).

I tried reverting but to no avail and i was adviced to reformat the hdd.

I did a clean wipe on my hdd, and reinstall windows 10 OS using a bootable usb. unfortunately, now it just stops display whenever it bypass that loading circle stage.
